Inside the True Custom Shop

DRAPER♦DBS is made in America, in Bucks County, PA. We take pride in our small woodshop and believe in keeping the focus of our business on a meticulous attention to detail. We have no assembly line, no stock of cabinets, and we take no shortcuts. Each piece is handcrafted, one at a time, by our 25 artisans.

Crowning Glory!

Kitchen designer Veronica Campbell of DRAPER♦DBS dealer showroom Deane, Inc. knows how to make a statement! She crowned her client’s kitchen with this 61” custom Walnut hood:

Veronica highlighted the wood species’ rolling grain pattern with our Natural finish. Cool contemporary accents of brushed and polished stainless steel offset Walnut’s warm, natural tone.

For her kitchen design, Veronica chose our award-winning door style, Ingot. It serves as a transitional frame for Natural Walnut’s horizontal grain, which ebbs and flows throughout the perimeter and island. A crisp and clean custom white paint finish balances the Walnut, making the beautiful wood tones pop against the white cabinets!

This Month In Our Shop

EVERY DAY IS DIFFERENT for the ARTISANS of DRAPER♦DBS!

Our custom cabinets woodshop is full of fresh ideas and creative challenges devised by our extraordinary design partners. Here’s a peak at a few of the recent projects our cabinet makers and artisans are working on this month:

(TOP) We carved this custom panel as a test, and the client loved it! About 27 feet of this waved molding will run atop a kitchen’s perimeter.

(BOTTOM) Wire-brushed Rift Cut White Oak is as popular as ever! This door style with gray finish will overlay frosted glass in a master bath.

Design Gone to the Dogs! Client Thrilled!

“How could we resist a design inspired by the family dog?” said the judges of Westchester Home magazine’s 2014 Design Contest.

Deane, Inc. designer Veronica Campbell won an honorable mention for this transitional design. It features an island by DRAPER♦DBS – with a wirebrushed oak gray finish that perfectly matches the “greige” of the clients’ Weimaraner.

Congratulations to Veronica! But we all agree, the best part is our client. She couldn’t be happier:

“Your cabinets are the pride and joy of my kitchen! I wanted my cabinets to look old world, refinished, and recycled in a transitional way. The finished product exceeded my expectations!”

From Weimaraner to Greyhound, we’ve created countless custom shades of cerused and wirebrushed White Oak. Our designer partners come to us when they need a match that’s perfect. Veronica Campbell loves the look so much, she designed her own DRAPERDBS kitchen with a cerused oak finish!
